In 2011, Father Jaime Molina and a small group of people from Saint Thomas Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, GA created a dance group. When the group first started out, it was called "Ecos de Mi Tierra (Echos of My Earth)." The group performed folkloric dances from Mexico and South America in response to a need for entertainment for events throughout Atlanta. Young people and children responded positively and wanted to become involved. The dance group became a way to mentor and engage adults, young people and children while also educating them about cultural and artistic traditions. The group grew to around 100 members of all ages. In order for this group to succeed, Father Jaime Molina developed a formal non-profit organization to meet the needs of children and youth in the area. This non-profit will continue performing multicultural activities while promoting unity and faith in the Hispanic Community.
14 years later we are functioning as a non-profit with a Ballet Folklorico group, Charreria Group and Mariachi. We hope to continue growing in the arts to continue promoting Hispanic culture to the communities around us.
